Leaked: Terry Richardson's unretouched pics of Mariah Carey

 Photos of Mariah Carey taken by Terry Richardson leaked online this week, revealing extensive airbrushing and Photoshop.

Carey is well known for her carefully groomed image, but the unretouched photos by Richardson reveal the multi-Grammy Award-winner's true appearance. In the first photo for Wonderland magazine, the singer poses wearing black with one hand behind her and the other holding a glass of champagne. However, after comparing the leaked photo to that which was published in Wonderland magazine, it is immediately clear that alterations were made to the image. Changes include adding volume to Carey's hair, jawline thinning, creases removed on her neck, waist pulled in, and drastic color correction. See the photos obtained by Jezebel

In a second photo by Richardson, Carey kneels on the floor beside her two children wearing a bandeau. When compared with the same image in Wonderland magazine, the unretouched photo reveals added eye shadow, neck and jawline alterations, her waist pulled in, breast enlargement, and bronze coloration added.

The leaked unretouched photos have some of Carey's fans outraged, including Twitter user Diego who wrote, "Those Mariah Carey photos by Terry Richardson are very dodgy."

Alternately, Richardson, who rose to fame with his raw and real photographs of celebrities and models, is being questioned for his authenticity following Carey's unretouched photos. Nevertheless, this is not the first time the controversial photographer has come under fire. Richardson has been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior by several young models who allege that the photographer exploited them. Richardson denied the accusations, claiming to be "considerate and respectful" to his photography subjects.

Meanwhile, Carey is not the first celebrity to have undergone extensive Photoshop. Moreover, photo retouching is commonplace in advertisements throughout magazines today. Notwithstanding, Vanessa Hudgens recently posed in an ad campaign for Bongo, but rejected the use of any Photoshop in the photos.
